Privacy Policy — Devote

This policy explains how the Devote: Bible, Devotional & Prayer app ("Devote", "we") handles your information. By using the app, you agree to what is described here.

1. Information we collect

• Data you provide: your name (used to personalize the app), your preferences (denomination, topics, reminder times) and the text you type when creating a personalized devotional (e.g., what you are going through).
• Prayer community: if you post a prayer request, the text and your display name are visible to other users.
• Purchases: subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed by RevenueCat. We never receive or store your card details.
• Technical data: anonymous purchase identifiers and basic device information required for the app to function.

Most of your preferences and progress are stored locally on your device.

2. Use of artificial intelligence

When you use the personalized devotional or the AI journeys, the text you type (e.g., your struggle) and your name are sent to our server and processed by an AI provider (Anthropic — Claude) solely to generate the devotional text. This content is not used for advertising and is not sold.

3. How we use information

• Personalize devotionals, verses and reminders;
• Operate the prayer community;
• Validate and manage your premium subscription;
• Keep the app working and secure.

4. Sharing with third parties

We share data only with the services needed for the app to work:

• Apple / Google — payment processing;
• RevenueCat — subscription management;
• Supabase — prayer community storage;
• Anthropic — AI text generation.

We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not use advertising trackers.

5. Your rights and data deletion

You may request access, correction or deletion of your data at any time via the email below. You can also delete your personalized devotionals and prayer requests within the app, and manage/cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play settings.

6. Children

Devote is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from such children.

7. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and trusted providers. No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Relevant changes will be posted on this page with the new date.
